Colorful Eyeliner

I know it isn't Cosmetics Tuesday, but I couldn't resist posting this video. I love colorful eyeliner, it is somewhat of a female familial trait. My mother has been wearing turquoise eyeliner for as long as I can remember, my sister (she was a make-up artist for a couple of years) loves it, and I love wearing purple and green. I know that the issue a lot of women have is, they want to wear the colors without looking like a clown. Personally, I think a lot of "how we pull things off" when it comes to fashion has to do with proper fit for clothing, technique for make-up and confidence. There are a lot of styles that I used to wear that a lot of people said I looked good in that they never thought they would. I disagree with those people now and then, it is just a matter of making sure you are comfortable and confident. So, since I know not everyone is so likely to take a risk, I figured I would post this Tiffany D video. She shows you how to apply a liquid color eyeliner and then a special technique that I have actually been doing for a very long time. I tend to do it more with my black eyeliner. I'll explain after the video so you can have a better idea of what I mean.

As you can see in Tiffany's video, she adds the black color under her lash lines. I tend to do the reverse. I really like to have my eyes pop since they are green and that is not common. However, as much as my eyes are green, they do act like hazel eyes when I wear black eyeliner. In other words, they look brownish. So, what I have gotten in the habit of doing is putting my black eyeliner where she puts the pink and then I add a purple or olive green on my water lines (if you do this be careful, it is very easy to hurt yourself if you don't have a steady hand and practice). What this will do is give you the dark eyeliner that makes a nice night look, but you can still have your eyes pop because the color that accentuates it will be closer to your irises.
