Moda Xpress - Internet Window Shopping

My second window shopping extravaganza today was at Moda Xpress. I like this store because it gives a more conservative touch to online shopping. If you search the web like I do, you will notice that a lot of these little online retailers have a lot of club wear. This may be the goal for some shoppers; however, I'm no longer the clubbing girl like I used to be. Plus, I think there is a line that can be drawn between dressing sexy and dressing to risque. Moda Xpress provides some nice daytime pieces. My only warning is that they carry fewer cute pieces than they do very strange stuff. Here are a couple of things I picked out.

1. Aztec Tube Top - $16.99

Since this aztec pattern is very "in" for the summer, this tube top provides a nice airy material that supports the trend. It has a cute draw string at the waist and a ruffled top to add a more romantic feel. I like the length as well. It hits this model right at the center of her zipper providing some coverage and can be complimentary on various body types. Also, if you look at this website, I will say that I like this blonde model they chose. She isn't super, super skinny and she looks like most girls you know. I think this is so refreshing compared to some of these other websites that have super skinny girls or girls with really seductive looks on their faces. It sometimes makes the clothing look sleezy.

2. Denim Button Up - $14.99

I think denim tunic is adorable. The little fold at the top gives it a nice detail and the color is really cute. They show the shirt with a pair of lighter jeans complimenting the denim on denim look for the season. However, I think this would also look adorable with cute black jeans or leggings. I like the length because it allows a nice framing of your silhouette and the back is wonderful. The elastic backing allows those girls with a chest to avoid pulling at the buttons in the front.

3. Heathered Beige Tank Cardi - $14.99

This tank is especially cute. I love the rouging in the front with the cute little pockets. The neckline is complimentary and would be perfect with a cute simple necklace. The back; however, is the real showstopper. The crochet pattern gives this rather neutral piece some personality. You can see on the model that it is a very thing and airy fabric, so a tank underneath would be a must. You can wear it with a simple black or white and the pattern will pop no matter what. I generally like to wear very opposite colors under these types of shirts so that it does make sure the crochet shoes well. If the shirt is dark, I wear a white tank under and vice a versa.

4. Black Cap Sleeve, Lace Cardi - $16.99

This cap sleeve open cardigan is probably my favorite of the lot. I love the cap sleeve look and the flowy material of the cardigan. It is certainly a romantic yet casual look. They show the model wearing a thick strapped cardigan, but I might opt for either a simple tube top underneath or a spaghetti strap tank.
