Lily Boutique - Internet Window Shopping

Okay, I had to save the best for last, Lily Boutique. I will admit, it is nearly impossible for me to just window shop at this store. Everything they carry is just really adorable. The best part is that I just found out about them recently. The gals at Lily found me on twitter and every since, I have been addicted to their shop. There are going to be a couple extra options on this post.

1. Embellished Long Cardi - $31.00

This adorable cardigan is just a great mix of pale grey and gold. The zipper that runs along the buttons and studs add a bit of color and style that will make you swoon. The band at the bottom of the cardigan gives it a very cute and finished look that will definitely make your thighs look smaller. I would wear this with metallic brass leggings, black skinnys or even denim. It is seriously versatile and lovely.

2. Bold Jewel Dress - $29.00

I think what I love most about this dress has to be the generous room in the chest. One thing I know is that finding a dress like this that will fit properly in the chest is very difficult. I don't want to show off a ton of cleavage, but I also don't want to look overly conservative. This dress is just wonderful if you are trying to show a more slim and dressy look. The bold jewels grab in the middle of the waist showing casing your curves while slimming you. I think this dress is definitely a cute addition to any wardrobe.

3. Zip Front 3-D Pocket Dress - $29.00

This is the dress of illusions. It is perfect for a fair amount of body types because of those pockets. If you don't have much in the hip department, this dress will add a little. If you do have hips, this dress can also accentuate what you have while slimming your waste. The details in the pocket are very stylish and the exposed zipper is a look I have seen on a lot of celebrities these days. The picture shows an olive, but they also have it in at least one other color.

4. Striped Dress Top - $24.00

This top just reminds me of the term avant-garde. It pushes the boundaries between what is a dress and a shirt. The bold stripes are fun, yet the color reserves them a bit. It is a class top I would expect to see on one of those old-time hollywoood actresses. I love the defined waist and length. This is definitely a top for many body types and would be an adorable addition to any wardrobe. I would probably wear it with a cute blazer and a pair of black skinny jeans or skinny slacks.

5. Floral Dress - $36.00

This floral dress epitomizes my style. While the true pattern of the fabric only incorporates a peachy pink, green and gray, blue embellishments were added as ribbing, lace and the buttons. I love how that blue makes the gray more approachable and less old fashion. This dress certainly says move over grandma pattern, I am going to show you how to rock this style. This dress would be very cute with a pair of gray heels or even blue for the more daring!

6. Two-In-One - $24.00

I generally avoid two-in-one tops. My feeling is that it usually suggests poor quality or cheapness. However, this top surpasses those boundaries by far. The fabric is really nice and soft looking and the button up tank top look is very cute. The flowy cardigan flaps are also a really fun addition. This is one of those shirts that will you get you compliments because of the way it is made. There just isn't really much else to say about it.

7. Walking In Spiderwebs Sweater - $23.00
This is another shirt of illusions. I also love the name the girls at Lily B gave the dress. While this sweater required an extra glance or two, I was drawn to it for some reason. I will tell you why. I think the best part of this sweater is the way the fabric thickens and darkens at the waist. I like it because looser shirts sometimes widen people. If you have wider shoulders or a chest, this will often turn you to a walking blueberry with toothpick legs and it isn't very attractive. This shirt, on the other hand, has that detail that will slim the look. The girls at Lily B recommend a tank underneath and I agree. The material is soft and comfortable. I would wear this with cute leggins, denim or black pants for a cute biz casual look or night out style.

  2. Thanks for the comment! I love it too. It really is a versatile dress. It would be so cute at work with a blue cardigan. Floral patterns were kind of cast aside at some point, but according to Instyle magazine, they are making a comeback. I like that.
