Etsy - Window Shopping For Jewelry

As I mentioned yesterday, I was really excited to provide you guys with a collection of my favorite Etsy stores. I tend to spend a lot of time on Etsy playing around with the Poppy's Buttons merchandise, but also window shopping at all of the cute products. Today I am going to share ten of my favorite accessory shops. Then, over the next few weeks I will try to gather other shops for posts. I will admit, I will probably stay away from clothing as most of it is pretty pricey since it is usually one of a kind.

1. Paean for Pineapple Heart

Although I don't have feather extensions in, nor have I tried them, I really find them very cute and unique. For the longest time I tried to find them so I can install them myself, but couldn't find them for a price I would consider paying. Then, I found Paean. She hand dyes her own feathers and sells them in a variety of quantities. For instance, you can buy 3 for $13.50 in the natural feather colors and only pay an additional $8 for the microbeads to install them. Installation is completely easy and you can visit this youtube video to learn how.

You can see the feather extensions in her hair in natural colors.
2. Shining Gift

Shining Gift sells very cute little necklaces, most with time pieces included. I think what attracted me most to this store was the Harry Potter Golden Snitch necklaces, but I also took a liking to her little resin roses with filagree ring bases. Although as a crafter the rings are very easy to make, they only cost you $3.99 if you wish to just buy a cute piece of jewelry or do not have a crafter's skill within you.

I really love this store, it is probably my favorite of all. I am a big fan of sugar skulls and most things Dia De Los Muertos (The day of the dead), so the skull cameos caught my attention instantly. They also make the rose, filagree rings and even a ouija bored necklace. Here are some pictures, you should absolutely take a peek for a very unique accessory.

4. Phia234
Ms. Sophia Regan calls her little store Phia234. Although the shop doesn't have a name, it does have some of the cutest hair clips I have seen yet. They are mostly made from feathers, but they are very different and would be adorable with a simple outfit allowing the hair clip to start the conversation. Some are larger than others, but she is kind enough to give you a view of the hair clip so you can determine how large they are. She also makes some really neat re-purposed shoes and little flower rings.

Casiho has a lot of really unique pieces as well. She has anything from conservative and cutesy stuff to crazy spiked rings. I think her variety of jewelry pieces probably best captures my style, you can find me wearing crazy spiked rings one day and then the next, a rose necklace with swallows.

Gelugu Accessories is actually pretty similar to Shining Gift. This seller has the golden snitch and a lot of pieces with clocks, but there is also a larger selection of items. In fact, I found a really cute heart with wings necklace and some cute peacock necklaces. I also like the key with skeleton charm necklace. The named it something like the treasure key with skeleton and I would have called it the Skeleton Key, but then again, it is their store. Just sayin...

I find Zipluxe to be very hit or miss, but there were a couple of really neat things at this store too. I like most that they work with industrial supplies to make jewelry. I guess my only issue is that some of it looks heavy in weight and in style. Here are a couple of pieces I liked.

8. Janine Basil

Now, Janine Basil's artwork is clearly very bold and out there. However, you can't argue that it isn't creative and very cool. She calls what she does burlesque, comic and retro-inspired hats, but she also does hair accessories. I know it would be somewhat difficult to determine where you were going to wear these pieces, but there are a few that I will picture below that I think you could pull off for going out on the weekends. I really love them and couldn't resist sharing her creativity.

9. Vade Mecum

Vade Mecum is hard to describe, her stuff is just really cool. She really likes the look of patina on metal, so a lot of what she sells looks antique and well...turquoise. It is neat though because it adds color to your accessories. In addition to jewelry she also makes some really neat looking handmade journals. They are to be worn around your neck, but I would just want to hang it on my wall as room decor.

10. Mystic Pieces

I think it is quite funny because I am clearly going through a phase in my jewelry preferences. I guess I am on a clock kick because even Mystic Pieces is relly just a variety of clock gears set on top of fun novelty pictures. Still, I like the way it looks when jewels and things are added. Mystic Pieces has a lot of fun stuff.
