Old Navy - Window Shopping

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I have experience an ongoing love/hate relationship with Old Navy. It used to be my go to store for all things "everyday," but I have been feeling as if the buyers are not doing so hot these days. However, I have been waiting for the stores to bring in their fall collections of which is taking forever considering school is right around the corner and finally Old Navy has started posting items. Here are a couple of basics I thought were cute options.

I do have to say before I get to posting, their prices have gone up a bit on some items of which I am not all that pleased. I guess it is just the state of our economy...not cool.

1. Infinite Scarf - $12.94

There isn't much to say about this scarf other than scarves are just fun accessories. I like that it is an infinite scarf mostly because you don't have to deal with poofing the neck to get that perfect look. Plus, it keeps you warm on fall days when a jean jacket or other light weather coat isn't doing its job.

2. Cable Knit Cropped Sweater - $36.94

I like that this sweater is cropped and it looks super comfy. Although I would have preferred a second button above, it isn't a deal breaker. I like it with a simple white tank and a pair of jeans for a casual day out. It comes in this green, a rather interesting brown color, gray and white.

3. Crochet Long Sweater - $42.94

Crochet is supposed to be back in sweater-wise this year. Honestly, I have always liked crochet sweaters, but I am not sure how much it is going to pick up. I think for some of us it just brings back bad memories from the last time it was popular. However, I kind of like that this is a long open sweater that can be worn over a tank or t-shirt or even a very simply patterned button down shirt. Because it is open, you can also pair the infinite scarf over it.

4. Striped Thin Sweater - $32.94

I like this sweater's uniqueness considering it is from Old Navy. It has a little more personality and I can't see the masses flocking to buy it either. That of course caches my interest. I chose to post this one, but they also have a solid gray and a striped one that is just gray and white. I would have to say that having not seen this shirt in person I am not positive about what I am going to say, but if you see in person you can use this tip to make your determination. One thing I dislike about Old Navy sweaters is that they are either fairly chunky or very thin. I personally hate their thin sweaters because if I feel self-conscious that day and want something to be comfortable, their thing sweaters just don't do the job. In fact, I have found that nine out of ten times when buying a thin sweater there, I barely wear it. So, if you have experienced that before then maybe you will do as I have begun doing and just avoid them all together. Otherwise, it is a cute option for a cool day.
