Fun Nail Project! Hint: What is black, white and read all over?

Did my hint give it away? Well, if not, I am going to show you a really neat newspaper and nails trick I learned. I think it is safe to say that aside from our make-up and clothing, our nails can also say a lot about us. In fact, I think nails can be one of the most subtle ways we can show off our style without doing too much. The only issue is that aside from different colors, french manicures, and crackle, a lot of nail trends can be really over the top and tacky. However, I was playing online the other day and found this really great trick. The video below will teach you how to add newspaper print to your nails to add a really cute touch to your next manicure.

The video suggests using a light grey so you can easily mimic what a newspaper looks like. Honestly, if I am going to do something like this, I would rather go a step further and add different colors, but it is up to you. Also, the video also suggests using isopropyl alochol. I wasn't completely loving the idea of using that so I opted for a skin toner I have. I used my Neutrogena SkinID toner. I think you can use pretty much anything like it as long as it is stringent, but I figured a toner would be less harsh to your nails and skin compared to isopropyl alochol. Check out my nail picture after the video.

Here is my version, there are obviously some imperfections, but I was doing it kind of quickly. If you take the time to do it; however, it should come out really nice.

The colors shown

The beige color is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Commander in Chic #370
The purple is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac #26
The blue is OPI No Room For The Blues
